SPAM Scanning
Every email that passes through our servers is scanned against a comprehensive ruleset that makes use of numerous realtime blocking lists (RBLs) as well as Bayesian filters. The email is then assigned a score that indicates how likely it is to be SPAM. This enables you to define actions at the server level to either deliver or delete messages based on their score.
Virus Scanning
Not only do we scan all incoming and outgoing emails for viruses and malware, we also scan every single file that enters our servers via FTP or browser upload. For example you may have a forum that allows users to upload images, or a script that allows customers to upload PDF files. Those would be scanned for viruses and malware before being allowed onto the server.
Virus and malware definitions are automatically updated on an hourly basis, so you can be assured that your emails and files are protected from the very latest threats.
