WordPress Web Hosting

We host a great many WordPress sites, and we understand how to make them run fast without sacrificing stability. All of our web hosting plans have these optimizations built in right from account creation. You don't need to do a thing! Here's how we can help:

WordPress Web Hosting

WordPress can be installed right from your cPanel control panel with a couple of clicks using the Installatron application installer. Installatron can also be set to automatically upgrade WordPress to new versions as they are released (a backup is taken first), to only upgrade to new minor versions e.g. 3.5.1 -> 3.5.2 (again, a backup is taken first), or to only notify you that upgrades are available.

CloudFlare and Railgun

As a CloudFlare Optimized Partner, we have tightly integrated both the CloudFlare CDN and Railgun services into all of our web hosting plans. The CloudFlare CDN caches your static content on their network of over 100 geographically diverse data centers, and serves it to your visitors from the nearest location. Meanwhile Railgun creates a lightning fast connection between the NitroHost and CloudFlare networks to dramatically accelerate your dynamic content. Read more here.

XCache Opcode Caching

One of the primary causes of slow page load times for WordPress blogs is that each page actually consists of a number of PHP scripts. Each of these scripts has to be read, compiled, and assembled every time a visitor loads a page. This creates unnecessary CPU load and disk accesses. Our servers make use of XCache opcode caching to stored your compiled PHP code in RAM, negating the need to compile it every time a page is loaded and dramatically speeding up page loads. XCache is also intelligent enough to know when you make changes to your code, and replaces the old version with the new version automatically.

MySQL Query Caching

It's no secret that WordPress can be very MySQL intensive. Every page contains content, comments, widget settings etc and these have to be pulled from the MySQL database on every page load. Our servers all have plenty of RAM dedicated to providing MySQL query caching, meaning that the results of frequently used SELECT queries are returned without having to query the database. MySQL knows when the data in a particular table changes and flushes out any associated cached results, so you get all of the speed benefits without having to worry about stale data being returned.

We look forward to working with you and hosting your WordPress blog. If you have any questions about our WordPress web hosting services, please don't hesitate to contact us.
