When a visitor first comes to your website, their browser has to look up the IP address that your domain resolves to. In order to do that, it will query your domain's nameservers.

If your nameservers are slow to respond then your site will load slower, and page speed is an important ranking factor in Google and many other search engines.

Essentially, Anycast allows multiple servers to respond from the same IP address. We have a cluster of 60+, globally-dispersed servers that each act as DNS servers / nameservers for your domain, and each of which will respond from the location closest to a specific visitor to your site.
